For all the selected refrigerants thermodynamic properties for superheat region are presented in tabular form to facilitate accurate evaluation of refrigeration cycles. Design of freeze-drying system and high vacuum system require thermodynamic properties of ice and water on sublimation line. These are well covered in the book. Water and carbon dioxide are also being used in supercritical states for various applications. Therefore properties of both these compounds cover thermodynamic data of supercritical region as well. Use of n-hexane is made extensively in extraction of oil from different seeds. Hence thermodynamic properties of n-hexane should prove valuable for the solvent extraction industry. Different brines are used in chilling plants in industry. Properties of brines should prove useful in designing the chillers. |
